In the vibrant city of Calgary, Canada, the Lebialem Cultural and Development Association (LECDA-CALGARY) stands as a beacon of hope and progress for the Lebialem people of Cameroon, West/Central Africa. Established in 2011 by a group of passionate Lebialemers residing in Calgary, LECDA-CALGARY is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the social, educational, and cultural well-being of its community members. Through a diverse range of initiatives and events, LECDA-CALGARY strives to empower its members and foster a strong sense of unity and pride in their shared heritage.
The colors of success stories, of people who previously made their way through the unfamiliar maze, are painted in our story; these people now stand tall and add to the mosaic of Canada. We are the mentors, supporters, dreamers, and creators of successful narratives. LECDA Empowerment is a symphony of common dreams, not just an organization. We are inclusive, resilient, and diverse—we are the epitome of the Canadian spirit.

Lebialem Cultural and Development Association Calgary-Canada (LECDA-CA Canada) is an association of sons and daughters originating from the Lebialem administrative division of Cameroon resident in Calgary Alberta and surroundings. Founded in July 2011 by a group of Lebialemers living in Calgary, who saw their common origin and indebtedness to Lebialem Division as a course to promote, through cultural and developmental initiatives. In this vein, we intend to showcase our cultural heritage and solidarity amongst ourselves, our country of origin and our host country Canada.
