LECDA Empowerment: Program Committees

Our Program Committees are instrumental in driving targeted initiatives that align with our mission of empowerment and community development. Each committee plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing programs that cater to specific needs within our diverse community.

1.Empowerment Programs Committee

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Programs: Develops and executes programs focused on skills development, mentorship, and personal growth.
  •  Program Evaluation: Regularly assesses the effectiveness of programs and collects feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Community Collaboration: Engages with community partners to enhance program offerings and reach a wider audience.
  • Resource Management: Ensures effective utilization of resources allocated for each program.

2.Membership and Outreach Committee

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Membership Engagement: Develops strategies for member recruitment, engagement, and retention.
  • Community Outreach: Identifies opportunities for collaboration with external organizations and community groups.
  • Event Planning: Organizes membership events, community outreach activities, and collaborative initiatives.
  •  Communication: Manages internal and external communication related to membership and outreach efforts.

 3.Professional Development Committee

Responsibilities:

  • Workshops and Training: Plans and conducts workshops, training sessions, and seminars.
  • Career Advancement: Develops initiatives to support members in advancing their careers.
  • Mentorship Programs: Facilitates mentorship opportunities connecting experienced professionals with members seeking guidance.
  • Skills Enhancement: Identifies and addresses the skills needed for professional growth.

4. Cultural Preservation Committee

Responsibilities:

  • Cultural Events:  Organizes events and programs that celebrate and preserve the diverse cultures within our community.
  • Heritage Awareness: Raises awareness about the importance of cultural preservation and understanding.
  • Collaboration:  Works with the community to integrate cultural elements into various activities.
  • Education:  Develops initiatives to educate members about cultural heritage and traditions.

  • Networking Opportunities: Facilitates networking events to connect newcomers with established
    members..
  • Resource Support: IIdentifies and provides resources to ease the integration process.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Tailored Programs: Designs programs addressing the unique needs of women.
  • Mentorship Initiatives: Creates mentorship opportunities for women within the community.
  • Advocacy: Addresses gender-related issues and advocates for gender equality.

Wellness Programs:Develops programs focused on the well-being of senior members.

  • Social Events: Organizes social activities to foster a sense of community.
  • Collaboration: Works with external senior care services to provide additional support.

  • Leadership Training: Provides opportunities for youth leadership and personal growth.
  • Advocacy: Represents the interests of youth within the community.
